Hi, I’m Andrew Cassini. I’m a fourth generation tile setter, stone fabricator, and local artist. My sons make the fifth generation. I love my job. I try to express that in my work, and every job is a new piece of art. Absolutely every project we do at Cassini Tile and Stone has a bit of my heart in it. Whether I do the work or one of the employees, every project gets my attention. I get my pleasure in life by making people smile. This Job allows that opportunity often. I was taught from an early age that something worth doing is worth doing to the very best of my ability. There are no exceptions to this rule for me. I try to excel in every aspect of my life. I also do my best to instill this belief in my guys. I believe that in business, and life for that matter, honesty & integrity are priorities. That coupled with solid communication, and commitment to my craft, I can guarantee not only my work but your happiness when I walk out your door. I look forward to working with you. Always.
The Cassini family’s dedication to excellence spans over a century, with each generation leaving an indelible mark on the tile and stone industry. – Today, Alec and Chase, Andrew’s sons, proudly carry on the family tradition, marking the fifth generation of Cassini Tile men in Rock Island and the sixth generation in the United States.
Origins - 1917
Cassini Tile originated in Cincinnati, Ohio, founded by Pietro (Peter) Cassini, my great-great-grandfather. He passed down his passion for craftsmanship to his four sons, Henry, Gus, Frank, and Michael.
In 1917, my great-grandfather Henry Cassini relocated to Rock Island, IL, where he established what is now Cassini Tile and Stone. His expertise as a mechanical engineer, combined with his dedication to quality, laid the foundation for our company’s success.
A veteran of World War I and a mechanical engineer for the Corps of Engineers, Henry was a visionary leader who laid the groundwork for our family business. Despite the challenges of war and the Great Depression, he persevered and built a thriving enterprise.

My grandfather, Peter Cassini, inherited his father’s entrepreneurial spirit and expanded the business further. Under his leadership, the company flourished, evolving into Peter Cassini Tile and later Cassini Tile and Marble Company.
